ABOUT LIANI
“I believe the answers are already in you. My job is to help you find them - and build the habits that make them real.”
I am a lifelong creative producer and a behavior change agent - and those two identities are more connected than they might seem.
Over a 20+ year career in the media industry, I built a practice as a producer, fundraiser, and special projects manager for high-profile individuals and non-profit organizations. I was helping shape narratives - for causes, for institutions, for people. And in that work, something became clear to me: the stories we tell about ourselves are among the most powerful forces in our lives. How we story our lives determines what we believe is possible. And what we believe is possible determines everything.
That insight sent me deep into the world of psychology, human behavior, and the science of change - and ultimately into coaching. I wanted to understand what it really takes to close the gap between who we are and who we know we can be. Not just in theory, but in practice. In the daily habits and choices that either move us toward that person or quietly away from them.
What I Do
My work sits at the intersection of vision and behavior. It’s not enough to know what you want, the real work is in building the conditions that make it inevitable.
Using research-based strategies drawn from behavioral science, lifestyle medicine, and evidence-based coaching, I help clients identify what matters most, examine the patterns that have kept them from it, and construct the habits and practices that close the distance. The goal isn’t motivation - motivation is fleeting. The goal is a toolbox: a personal set of anchors you can return to, again and again, regardless of what life brings.
When people become genuinely clear, mentally agile, and in consistent motion around what matters to them, something shifts. Their experience of themselves transforms. And so does the way they move through the world.
Who I Work With
My clients are artists, filmmakers, founders, executives, and creative professionals of all kinds - talented, driven people who have achieved a great deal and are ready to go further, or deeper, or both.
Alongside my coaching practice, I run William Greaves Productions - the company founded by my grandfather, the pioneering documentary filmmaker William Greaves. I recently produced the film Once Upon a Time in Harlem. The skills at the heart of great production - vision, collaboration, bringing out the best in people under pressure - are inseparable from the skills I bring to every coaching relationship.
Training & Credentials
My approach is grounded in science, not intuition alone. I hold the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching certification (NBC-HWC) the field’s highest standard, developed in collaboration with the National Board of Medical Examiners, which reflects rigorous training in the evidence base for behavior change and sustainable habit formation.
I am also a Wellcoaches® Certified Health and Well-Being Coach and hold certification from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine as a Lifestyle Medicine Coach - two institutions at the forefront of research-based, high-impact coaching practice.
My training and life-experience allows me to bring both rigor and real care to this work.
